For all registered rental vehicles, I'm droid also offers the Kasko policy : an additional guarantee that covers damage suffered by your vehicle during road circulation.
Also called collision insurance, it covers damage to your car only if it is caused following an accident directly involving another vehicle, also covering damage caused by going off the road or by a collision with any other obstacle.
What does the Kasko formula not cover?
There are cases in which the right to be compensated is lost. The Kasko policy does not cover damage to the vehicle:
- if the driver does not have a regular driving license or is excluded from the driving formula indicated in the insurance contract;
- if the damage is caused by the driver intentionally or under the influence of drugs (or while intoxicated);
- if the damage is caused by materials or animals transported on the vehicle.
It should also be remembered that Kasko provides a deductible of 500 euros: this means that the insured is required to bear part of the damage, the minimum amount of which is set at 500 EUR.
