In Corato, Christmas is dressed in magic with the lighting of the large tree in Piazza Matteotti , which kicked off the rich program of events designed for adults and children. Organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with local associations, and sponsored by the Puglia Region and the Bari Chamber of Commerce , the calendar promises a month of fairy-tale and engaging atmospheres.

• 7 December, 6.00 pm : Inauguration of the Santa Claus Village in the Historic Centre. An itinerant journey animated by over 70 figures including elves, gnomes and fairy-tale characters, for a timeless story that will captivate the little ones and make even the older ones dream.
