You will begin the visit in front of the entrance to the Norman-Swabian Castle of Bari , a fortification that dates back to the 12th century and which has hosted many important personalities throughout history.
Here you will discover the history of the city through the imposing walls and towers surrounding the castle. You will discover the famous "Via delle Orecchiette" , home to local housewives who prepare fresh pasta by hand, with traditions handed down from generation to generation. If you are lucky, you will witness the preparation of the famous Baresi orecchiette .
A must-see is the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Basilica of San Nicola , true symbols and landmarks of ancient Bari, obviously passing through historic alleys, squares and the typical houses of old Bari . Finally, an obligatory stop, the walk on the wall that surrounds the old city to witness an unforgettable spectacle: the Bari seafront illuminated and seen from the top of the wall .
