A sweet entertainment with the sound of the waves and the beauty of the Bari lighthouse
If you love the sea and adore its atmosphere, what's better than a sea at the foot of a lighthouse?
The San Cataldo Lighthouse is undoubtedly among the most historic and long-lived structures in the city of Bari; built in 1869, the lighthouse is still in full operation today, and with its approximately 66 meters of height and 380 steps (among the highest in Italy) it continues to be a point of reference for ships and fishing boats.
The building is located in the northernmost area of Bari , precisely in the exhibition district; in this area you could combine the beauty of a sunset over the sea with the presence of an imposing lighthouse, perhaps in the company of a sweet break.
In fact, in the area there are several commercial activities overlooking the sea (among the very few close to the cliff) which can be useful for entertaining you while you are about to enjoy the landscape.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the lighthouse, so you have to "content yourself" with admiring it from bottom to top and taking a souvenir photo with a piece of Bari's history .
